Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) stands as a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, boasting a comprehensive platform that encompasses venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. With a mission to deliver unparalleled experiences in live entertainment, OVG focuses on innovation, excellence, and community inclusivity in every aspect of its operations.

Located at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, the Performance Dining team offers an engaging part-time opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and live event experiences. This role operates within one of the university’s premier athletic venues, located at 2601 Jess Neely Drive. Offering an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $20.00, this part-time role not only supports a flexible work schedule but also includes benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions for eligible employees.

The Busser is an integral member of the dining service team responsible for creating a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests. This role requires close collaboration with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient delivery of food and beverages, prompt clearing and resetting of tables, and maintenance of cleanliness in the dining area, including outdoor seating spaces. The Busser's duties are pivotal in supporting operational workflows during high-volume live events and routine dining services at Vanderbilt University Athletics facilities. Beyond basic bussing responsibilities, the role involves attention to detail in verifying food orders, assisting with customer service needs, and contributing to a clean and organized dining environment.

Candidates for this position should be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and capable of standing and walking for extended periods. The job requires physical stamina to lift and carry trays or plates and navigate various dining areas efficiently. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are paramount, as the Busser will interact directly with guests and team members alike. Prior experience in restaurant or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory, as long as candidates demonstrate eagerness to learn and collaborate effectively.
