The Busser position at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a part-time role designed to support front-of-house operations within the museum's food and beverage program. This position involves working in either the cafe or the full-service restaurant and is integral to maintaining clean, organized, and efficient dining environments. Bussers contribute significantly to the guest experience by supporting servers, bartenders, and baristas with various tasks, helping streamline service delivery and ensuring guests receive timely and attentive service. Key responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables, assisting with the delivery of food and beverages, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout dining areas. Job Requirements
- Previous restaurant hospitality food service or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible schedule including evenings weekends holidays and event-based shifts
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift carry push and pull heavy objects
- Ability to bend stoop reach and perform repetitive motions

Job Duties
- Clear clean and reset tables quickly and efficiently throughout service in the cafe and/or restaurant
- Assist servers bartenders and baristas by delivering water food items condiments and other guest requests as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms cafe seating areas service stations and guest-facing spaces
- Refill ice glassware silverware napkins condiments and other supplies throughout shifts
- Transport dishes glassware and utensils to dishwashing areas
- Support both cafe and restaurant operations based on business needs and event schedules
- Assist with opening and closing side work duties
