Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, well known for managing iconic venues and delivering world-class hospitality experiences. Established in 2015, OVG oversees a diverse portfolio of arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Among its prestigious venues, OVG operates the food and beverage program at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, a premier cultural destination located in Los Angeles, California. The Lucas Museum offers visitors a unique narrative art experience alongside exceptional dining options, including a multi-concept café, a modern luxury restaurant, a licensed Starbucks location, and an extensive special events catering program.
The Busser position at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a key part-time role focused on supporting the front-of-house operations within the venue's dynamic food and beverage program. Busser staff play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both the café and the full-service restaurant dining areas. They assist servers, bartenders, baristas, and culinary team members to ensure operational efficiency and create a welcoming environment for guests. With an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $26.00, this role offers competitive pay along with valuable benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions for part-time employees.
In this role, Bussers are responsible for clearing and resetting tables promptly during service to maintain a smooth flow for incoming guests. They deliver water, food items, condiments, and other guest requests, helping to enhance the overall dining experience. Duties also include replenishing supplies such as ice, glassware, silverware, napkins, and condiments throughout shifts. Bussers regularly transport dirty dishes and utensils to dishwashing stations, maintain clean floors and dining surfaces, and contribute to setup and breakdown tasks for banquets and special events as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. While previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, food service, or customer service is preferred, it is not mandatory. This role requires excellent teamwork and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness and safety standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-driven shifts is essential, as is the physical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and perform repetitive motions during shifts.
Joining OVG as a Busser at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art means becoming part of an inclusive team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest service and enriching the visitor experience through outstanding hospitality. The company values diversity and promotes a respectful workplace free from discrimination, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds to apply. This position remains open until September 25, 2026, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful part-time employment in a vibrant cultural and entertainment environment.
