The Beverage Supervisor role at Mass Mutual Center is a part-time position that plays a crucial role in the food and beverage management team. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of beverage operations within the venue, including ordering, storing, and distributing beverage products. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced event-driven environment
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Proficient in basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education
  • Ability to supervise and lead others effectively
  • Strong communication skills to interact respectfully with employees, management, and guests
  • Capability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven setting
  • Possession of valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by regulations
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Proficiency in basic math functions relevant to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of beverage ordering with assistance from Food and Beverage Managers
  • Supervise beverage service including alcoholic beverages and verify guest identification for age compliance
  • Assist with beverage orders to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to events
  • Recognize and manage guests who are visibly intoxicated
  • Enforce all Oak View Group policies and procedures
  • Assist management with training, inventory, and special events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
