Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a globally recognized leader in the premium live entertainment infrastructure and services industry, established in 2015. The company's business model encompasses an extensive platform that spans venue development, comprehensive venue management, hospitality services, and sponsorship sales. OVG is trusted to serve a distinguished portfolio that includes seven world-class owned venues and an impressive client list featuring some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. This breadth of operations demonstrates the company's commitment to delivering superior experiences in the live entertainment sector while continuously expanding its reach globally.

The Mass Mutual Center, located at 1277 Main Street in Springfield, Massachusetts, is one of Oak View Group's premier venues. As a cornerstone for entertainment and event hosting in the region, the Mass Mutual Center offers diverse events that attract local, national, and international audiences. The venue's dynamic environment requires a skilled team capable of operating within a fast-paced and often rapidly changing landscape, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service and maintains the highest standards of safety and quality.

The part-time Beverage Supervisor role at the Mass Mutual Center is an essential position within the Food and Beverage Management category. It comes with an hourly compensation range of $20.00 to $22.00, reflecting the importance of this role in maintaining operational excellence. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the entire beverage lifecycle within the facility—from ordering and storage to distribution. This responsibility demands strong organizational skills and a detailed understanding of inventory management principles, all while adapting to event-driven fluctuations.

Key responsibilities include supervising the service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring strict compliance with age verification policies to promote responsible alcohol service. The Beverage Supervisor acts as a frontline guardian of safety by identifying and managing guests who may be intoxicated, reinforcing the venue’s commitment to a safe and enjoyable guest experience. Operational duties involve maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards rigorously. Additionally, the supervisor will ensure that equipment related to beverage preparation and service is clean, in good working condition, and ready before every event, supporting smooth and efficient operations.

This position also plays a supportive role to Food & Beverage Managers by assisting with projects such as staff training, inventory control, and preparations for special events. The role emphasizes collaboration and teamwork, requiring the ability to communicate clearly and cooperate effectively with colleagues across various departments. Attending scheduled events reliably and maintaining excellent attendance are crucial expectations, reflecting the position's integral role in the venue’s day-to-day success.

Part-time employees in this role benefit from Oak View Group's commitment to their future financial wellbeing, including access to a 401(k) savings plan with employer matching. This demonstrates OVG’s broader commitment to supporting its workforce beyond the workplace.

In joining the Oak View Group team at Mass Mutual Center, candidates become part of an organization that values diversity and inclusivity as fundamental drivers of innovation, service excellence, and team unity. The company fosters an inclusive workplace culture that reflects and celebrates the diverse communities it serves, reinforcing its reputation as an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of any protected status. This position remains open until October 30, 2026, offering an excellent opportunity for qualified individuals to contribute meaningfully to a leading live entertainment venue while growing their professional skills in a vibrant and supportive environment.
