Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months or more of bartending experience
- knowledge of state and federal alcohol regulations
- ability to check guest IDs accurately
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- ability to work nights, weekends, and long hours
- capability to handle cash accurately
- willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more of bartending experience
- accurate cash handling skills
- ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
- bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
- learn and have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties, and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
- pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- check guest IDs to verify minimum age requirement for alcoholic beverage purchase
- communicate a cut-off to guests as required
- listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security as required
- contact management if unable to resolve beyond standard decision-making
- request additional or restock products as required
- handle cash accurately and be responsible for issuing bank at the bar
- maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- perform other duties such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and cooler organization as assigned
