Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more of bartending experience
- Knowledge of state and federal alcohol service regulations
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- Ability to handle cash accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Capability to de-escalate difficult guest situations
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
- Must be of legal drinking age
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more of bartending experience
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
- Bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus and provide service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures and legal regulations
- Learn and suggest various beer, wine, and spirits to upsell to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly according to company serving size standards
- Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase
- Communicate cut-offs to guests as required
- Respond to customer requests or concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security as needed
- Contact management when decisions exceed standard scope
- Request additional or restock products as required
- Handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
- Set up and break down bar equipment
- Assist with cooler organization
