The role of Bartender at The Texas Tech Club is a part-time opportunity designed for professionals who are personable, professional, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position requires an individual who can deliver excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations regarding alcohol service. The bartender will be responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, necessitating a strong knowledge of various types of beer, wine, and spirits. Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Must have six months or more bartending experience
- Ability to handle cash accurately
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and extended hours
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more of experience bartending

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and long hours
- Bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service interaction with coworkers and uniform standards
- Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
- Learn or have knowledge of various beer wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for purchase of alcoholic beverages
- Communicate a cut-off to guests as required
- Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
- Contact management when unable to resolve or make decisions beyond standard scope
- Request additional products or restock as required
- Handle cash accurately and issue bank at the bar
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstation and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained
- Assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and organization of cooler
