OVG manages a collection of seven world-class owned venues and serves an impressive client roster that includes some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Known for its innovation and commitment to excellence, Oak View Group seeks to create dynamic environments that celebrate diverse communities and promote inclusivity and excellence in the entertainment and hospitality industries.

The position available is for a part-time Bartender at the University of Kansas Social Club, located at 1651 Naismith Drive in Lawrence, KS. This role is a key part of the Food & Beverage Management category and requires an individual capable of delivering excellent guest service in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The bartender is responsible for the service of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining professionalism and adherence to company and regulatory standards. The role offers an hourly wage of $12.00 to $15.00 and is tip eligible, providing an opportunity for wage enhancement based on performance and customer interaction.

The Bartender must demonstrate the ability to uphold company standards in guest service, teamwork, and appearance. Key responsibilities include following bar menus and pre-shift notes meticulously, serving beverages responsibly according to state and federal laws, checking identification to verify age, and managing intoxicated guests appropriately, including de-escalating situations or notifying management when necessary. Bartenders are also expected to actively participate in upselling beverage options by having knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit varieties.

In addition to beverage service, bartenders manage the issued bank and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace, ensuring that all bar equipment is well-maintained. The role also includes restocking products, assisting in bar setup and breakdown, and organizing storage areas like coolers to ensure operational efficiency. Bartenders play a crucial role in enhancing customer experience through attentive service and responsible alcohol management while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Oak View Group values diversity and inclusivity, emphasizing that its success is rooted in creating environments that reflect the diverse communities it serves. They encourage applicants from varied backgrounds to join their team and contribute to a culture of innovation, service excellence, and community impact.
