The Bartender role at Columbus Civic Center is a part-time position offering an hourly wage of $17.00 plus tips. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and state and federal alcohol regulations. - Six months or more experience bartending
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work self-directed in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service interaction and uniform standards
- Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus to provide service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following state and federal regulations
- Learn and suggestively upsell beer wine and spirits products to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards for serving size
- Check guest IDs to verify minimum age requirements for alcohol purchase
- Communicate cut-offs to guests as required
- Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if needed
- Request and restock bar products as necessary
- Maintain the issued bank at the bar
- Keep a clean and sanitary workstation and maintain bar equipment
- Assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and cooler organization as needed
