Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG has rapidly grown to become a trusted name in the entertainment industry with a platform that spans venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company’s portfolio includes seven world-class owned venues and a diverse client roster of iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. With its commitment to delivering exceptional live experiences, OVG continuously sets new standards for innovation and excellence in the field.
The company is currently seeking a Part-Time Bartender to join their team at the Columbus Civic Center location in Columbus, Georgia. This role offers an hourly wage of $17.00 plus tips, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals looking to work in a vibrant, fast-paced environment within the food and beverage management sector. The position promises a dynamic work atmosphere where adaptability, professionalism, and excellent guest service are paramount.
As a Bartender at OVG’s Columbus Civic Center, you will play a critical role in enhancing the guest experience by serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with skill and efficiency. You will need to demonstrate thorough knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirits selections and the ability to upsell products in a friendly and engaging manner. Your responsibilities will include preparing drinks according to company standards and legal regulations, checking identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions, and managing the bar’s cash bank accurately.
This role demands a personable and professional individual who thrives in a fast-changing, high-energy environment. The Bartender must maintain excellent attendance and be flexible to work nights, weekends, and during special events as they arise. Safety and regulatory compliance are integral parts of the job, requiring the individual to responsibly serve alcoholic beverages and manage situations involving intoxicated guests by de-escalating conflicts or calling on management and security when necessary.
Additionally, maintaining a clean and well-organized bar area is essential. You will be expected to assist with setting up and breaking down bar equipment, organizing stock, and ensuring all bar tools and equipment are well-maintained and sanitized. Working at OVG provides the opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to excellence and inclusivity, where diversity is celebrated as a driver of innovation and enhanced guest service.
The company values its employees and offers benefits even for part-time roles, including access to a 401(k) savings plan with company matching contributions. This enhances the employment package and underscores OVG’s commitment to supporting the financial well-being of its staff. The position remains open until September 18, 2026, allowing ample time for interested candidates to apply.
Joining Oak View Group means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that is united to make a difference in the live entertainment industry. With its comprehensive employee support, commitment to diversity, and focus on exceptional guest experiences, OVG offers a fulfilling work environment for bartenders eager to grow their skills and be part of an innovative team.
