The company’s comprehensive platform covers venue development and offers end-to-end capabilities including venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. With such a prestigious portfolio, Oak View Group is committed to delivering extraordinary live experiences and is dedicated to operational excellence and innovation in all aspects of its business.
This specific job opening is located at the University of Kansas Social Club in Lawrence, Kansas and is a part-time Barista position. Working as a Barista with OVG means becoming part of a company deeply rooted in creating memorable guest experiences in fast-paced, high-volume environments. This role is pivotal in representing the brand by delivering exceptional customer service and preparing high-quality food and beverage items. Carrying an hourly wage ranging from $13.00 to $16.00 with additional tip eligibility, the Barista position offers a competitive compensation package for part-time work. The role also includes benefits such as a 401(k) Savings Plan with employer matching contributions, which is a notable addition for part-time staff.
The Barista will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere for guests by delivering premium coffee and beverage selections along with friendly and efficient service. Beyond beverage preparation, the role requires maintaining a clean, organized workspace to meet health and safety standards, as well as supporting the team to ensure smooth daily operations. The Barista acts as a brand ambassador, ensuring that all products served are consistent with the company’s quality standards and that guests feel welcomed and valued. The role demands excellent communication skills to interact effectively with various team members including wait staff, bartenders, and kitchen personnel, ensuring excellent coordination during busy service periods.
Candidates who thrive in this position should have a passion for coffee and a commitment to delivering service that reflects attention to detail and customer care. Experience in high-volume food service settings, particularly within a barista or café environment, is highly preferred. Compliance with necessary food safety certifications such as a Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Awareness Certification is required, underscoring OVG’s focus on safety and responsible service. The ability to work flexibly during peak periods is essential, as is a professional appearance and a cooperative, enthusiastic attitude.
Oak View Group values diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that a diverse workforce enriches innovation, improves service delivery, and enhances overall excellence. The company proudly supports equal opportunity employment and makes every effort to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Anyone looking to join a dynamic, evolving company that leads the live entertainment industry while fostering positive workplace culture and career growth opportunities would find this Barista role rewarding and engaging. This role is open until October 16, 2026, inviting motivated individuals who are eager to bring their skills and enthusiasm to a prominent company focusing on live entertainment hospitality.
