Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma, G.E.D., or related food service job experience
  • Must acquire and maintain a Food Handler's Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner
  • Availability to work during peak periods
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Must be able to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred
  • Previous experience preparing coffee drinks is a plus
  • Must have a high school diploma, G.E.D., or related food service job experience
  • Must acquire and maintain a Food Handler's Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner focused on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment

Job Duties

  • Have knowledge of how to build coffee drinks
  • Understand how to build a menu and be able to portion out drinks
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu and any special items being offered
  • Provide quick, attentive, friendly, and professional service to banquet guests and communicate clearly with all customers
  • Ensure that food items are served at proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer
  • Ensure neat presentation of all ordered items, with no spillover
  • Pre-bus and fully bus tables when necessary during peak periods
  • Maintain availability to work during many peak periods
  • Stock beverage stations when necessary including ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc
  • Maintain high responsiveness to customer desires and requests
  • Maintain a professional and clean appearance
  • Communicate with waitstaff, buspersons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to improve communication and coordination
  • Build and maintain knowledge regarding bar offerings to answer patron questions accurately
