The Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center, a part of OVG’s expansive venue network, is seeking to hire a temporary part-time Barback. This role is essential for supporting concessions bar operations during live events, ensuring that bars are fully stocked, organized, and operational throughout an event's duration. The Barback will collaborate closely with bartenders and bar leads to facilitate smooth service, uphold sanitation standards, and maintain safety protocols related to alcohol service. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.50 to $23.50, with the added benefit of being tip-eligible. It is a temporary role scheduled from June 11, 2026, through June 23, 2026, primarily catering to the operational needs of events hosted at the venue.

Working as a Barback at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center demands adaptability, stamina, and a proactive mindset. The environment is fast-paced and often high-volume, requiring individuals to be on their feet for extended periods, handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy supplies, and operate effectively in loud and crowded settings. The Barback is responsible for restocking bar supplies, including alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, ice, utensils, and garnishes, as well as assisting in the transport and setup of kegs. Ideal candidates will have experience in busy bar or concession settings, possess valid food handler and alcohol service permits, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
