The Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center, located in Federal Way, Washington, is one of the distinguished venues operated by OVG, known for hosting a diverse range of high-profile events and performances throughout the year.
The temporary part-time Barback role at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in the fast-paced live event and hospitality industry. This role is essential in supporting the concessions bar operations during events by ensuring that bars are consistently stocked and ready to serve. The Barback works closely with bartenders and bar leads to maintain operational efficiency and a smooth service flow. This temporary position, which runs from June 11 to June 23, 2026, provides an hourly wage between $22.50 and $23.50, and it is also tip-eligible, making it a rewarding opportunity for candidates who perform diligently.
The Barback’s primary responsibility is to keep all bar supplies replenished throughout events, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ice, cups, napkins, utensils, fruit, and other necessary items. The role requires physical activity such as moving kegs, tapping kegs, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of beverage stations. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area and storage spaces is also critical, alongside adhering to all sanitation and safety standards. Given the dynamic nature of live events, the Barback will often work in crowded, loud environments and may be required to stand for long periods, making physical stamina and agility important for success in this role.
This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and professionalism as the Barback collaborates with staff and interacts with guests. Dependable attendance and punctuality are crucial since the Barback must be available during scheduled events to ensure seamless bar operations. The job is suited for those who enjoy working in a team-oriented, event-driven setting and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward fast-paced environments.
Oak View Group’s commitment to diversity is integral to its culture, promoting inclusivity to drive innovation and excellence. The company values the unique backgrounds and perspectives of its employees and strives to create an environment that reflects the communities it serves. This approach not only strengthens the team but also enhances the quality of services delivered to guests and clients.
In summary, this temporary part-time Barback position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in live event hospitality. It offers a competitive wage, the chance to be part of a leading entertainment venue team, and the opportunity to develop skills in a high-volume, energetic work environment. Candidates interested in supporting efficient bar operations and ensuring excellent customer service during events will find this role fulfilling and rewarding.
