The renovation preserved the venue’s historic charm while incorporating modern amenities, elevating it into one of Philadelphia’s top destinations for live performances. It hosts a diverse array of events including classical music concerts, opera, rock shows, and comedy performances, thus playing a critical role in preserving Philadelphia’s cultural heritage.

The Barback position at The Met Philadelphia is a part-time role vital to supporting the bartending team during events. The primary responsibility of the Barback is to restock and replenish all necessary products such as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ice, and supplies to ensure that bartenders can provide seamless service throughout the event. This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00 and is tip eligible, offering an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, part-time work in a dynamic, fast-paced event environment. Furthermore, part-time employees at Oak View Group are eligible to participate in the 401(k) savings plan, including matching contributions, which supports their long-term financial goals.

Success in this role requires excellent attendance, cooperative teamwork skills, and high standards for sanitation and safety. Responsibilities extend from moving kegs and tapping them, cleaning the bar area, to monitoring guests for signs of intoxication and alerting bartenders as necessary. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. The Met Philadelphia values diversity and fosters an inclusive work environment where employees from varied backgrounds can thrive and contribute to the company’s mission of delivering world-class entertainment experiences.

Overall, the Barback position at The Met Philadelphia is ideal for those who enjoy working in a lively, entertainment-focused setting and want to play a key role behind the scenes.
