The Barback position, offered as a part-time role at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, is vital to the beverage team's success during events. Reporting to beverage supervisors and bartenders, the Barback plays an essential support role by ensuring that bars and beverage stations are fully stocked, clean, organized, and operational throughout various functions. The Barback at the Lucas Museum is responsible for a wide range of duties that support seamless beverage operations at banquets, in the restaurant, and during special events. Key responsibilities include stocking bars with beer, wine, liquor, mixers, garnishes, ice, and other supplies before, during, and after events; replenishing inventory to prevent service interruptions; transporting beverage products from storage areas to service locations; assisting bartenders with opening and closing tasks; and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout all bar and storage areas. The role also involves removing trash and product containers to keep workspaces safe and accessible, refilling ice bins to ensure adequate supply, and assisting with setup and breakdown of event equipment and supplies.

The position demands adherence to strict food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, supporting inventory counts, and product accountability procedures.
