The Barback position at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a regular part-time role that plays a crucial support function within the beverage team. The role requires the individual to keep bars and beverage stations fully stocked, clean, organized, and operational throughout various events held at the venue. The Barback works closely with bartenders and beverage supervisors to replenish inventory, assist with setup and breakdown of beverage areas, and maintain a safe working environment. This position is essential in delivering smooth and seamless beverage service, enhancing guest satisfaction at banquets, special events, and in the museum's restaurant. Barbacks at this venue earn between $19.00 and $25.00 per hour, with part-time benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or related field preferred
- Must be at least the minimum legal age to serve alcohol
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physical ability to work in various environments including confined spaces and variable temperatures
- Adherence to food safety and workplace safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, food and beverage, restaurants, bars, catering, stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or event venues preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based hours
- Must meet minimum age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages as required by state and local laws

- Ability to transport cases of beverages, kegs, ice, and other supplies

Job Duties
- Stock bars and beverage stations with beer, wine, liquor, mixers, garnishes, ice, cups, and supplies before, during, and after events
- Replenish inventory throughout events to ensure uninterrupted service
- Transport beverage products and supplies from storage areas to bars and service locations
- Assist bartenders with opening and closing duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bars, coolers, storage rooms, and service areas
- Remove trash, cardboard, and empty product containers throughout events
- Refill ice bins and ensure adequate ice supply is maintained at all times
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving equipment and supplies
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Support inventory counts and product accountability procedures
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned by beverage leadership
