The Baylor Club in Waco, Texas, is seeking a full-time Banquet Supervisor to join the Oak View Group team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the flawless execution of banquet and catering events hosted at the venue, contributing directly to memorable guest experiences. The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the entire banquet operation, from set-up and food presentation to serving and cleanup. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for high-quality customer service, and strong leadership skills to manage, train, and coach banquet staff effectively.
The Banquet Supervisor role pays an hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 and comes with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off covering vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays. The position remains open until August 21, 2026, providing candidates an extended opportunity to apply.
In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to approach all guest and colleague interactions with friendliness and a service-oriented attitude. Coordination with multiple departments and kitchen staff ensures seamless event execution, from arranging services to managing food preparation and delivery.
The Banquet Supervisor will be tasked with supervising the preparation and proper setting of tables, buffets, and food service areas, ensuring all presentation aspects meet established quality standards. This includes inspecting table linens, china, glassware, silverware, and condiments for cleanliness and correct placement. Post-event duties include overseeing cleanup, garbage removal, and the storage and security of all catering service equipment and décor.
Leadership is a key component of the role, involving staff training programs, conducting meetings to build team rapport, and keeping the team well-informed. Additionally, this role requires working with the Executive Chef to manage inventories related to food and beverage events, as well as collaborating with Event/Sales Managers to ensure accuracy and quality of room setups. Familiarity with the venue’s computer systems and technology related to food and beverage operations is important, including point-of-sale and timekeeping software.
