Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG has quickly become one of the foremost companies in its sector, delivering end-to-end capabilities across venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company manages a prestigious roster of venues, including iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts in Greensboro, North Carolina, is one of the distinguished venues managed by OVG, serving as a cultural hub for world-class performing arts and events. OVG prides itself on providing exceptional guest experiences and maintaining industry-leading standards of service and venue operations.

As part of its commitment to excellence, OVG is seeking part-time Banquet Servers to join the team at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional food and beverage service during a variety of events, ranging from formal galas and corporate functions to weddings and cultural gatherings. Banquet Servers are responsible for ensuring guests receive professional and attentive service throughout each event, helping to create memorable moments for attendees and positive impressions of the venue.

The Banquet Server position involves more than just serving food and beverages; it requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit. Servers read and comprehend banquet event orders, set up and maintain food and beverage stations, and ensure inventory is well-stocked. They are tasked with maintaining cleanliness and organization in service and staging areas, participating actively in setup and cleanup, and adapting to the dynamic needs of each event. The role demands physical stamina as servers often lift, push, and carry heavy trays and supplies. Banquet Servers work closely with kitchen and event staff to coordinate timely delivery of courses and respond promptly to guest inquiries or requests.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 and is tip eligible, providing employees an opportunity to earn competitive compensation based on performance and guest satisfaction. Part-time employees also have access to benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, underscoring OVG's commitment to supporting its workforce even in part-time capacities. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and select holidays to meet the demands of the event calendar. Moreover, OVG champions diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, fostering an environment where employees from diverse backgrounds can thrive and contribute to the company's innovative and customer-focused culture. This Banquet Server opportunity represents a chance to be part of a dynamic, high-energy team dedicated to exceptional service at a premier performing arts venue.
