Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, specializing in venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, OVG operates a diverse portfolio that includes seven world-class owned venues and serves an extensive client roster spanning arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, OVG creates memorable experiences for millions of patrons worldwide while fostering inclusive work environments that embrace diversity and encourage professional growth. The Sevierville Convention Center, located in Sevierville, Tennessee, is part of this prestigious network, hosting a wide range of events from meetings to large-scale banquets and catering functions.

The Banquet Server role at OVG’s Sevierville Convention Center is a part-time position focused on delivering exceptional customer service throughout event operations. This role is vital in ensuring guests receive outstanding food and beverage service during events, contributing significantly to overall customer satisfaction. Banquet Servers are responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and anticipating guest needs with a keen attention to detail, all within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The position offers a competitive hourly wage between $17.00 and $18.00, aligned with the responsibilities and expectations of providing premium service standards.

In this part-time role, Banquet Servers assist with both the setup and breakdown of banquet areas, ensuring all arrangements meet the event’s requirements. They adhere strictly to sanitary practices and maintain cleanliness to uphold health and safety standards. Effective communication is crucial, as servers must relay food and beverage orders accurately and be vigilant about allergies and special requests. The ability to manage multiple tasks calmly and professionally during busy periods is essential. Additionally, the role includes proactive problem-solving to respond appropriately to any guest concerns or requests, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere and seamless event experience.

OVG values punctuality, reliability, and a professional demeanor, with the expectation that Banquet Servers will present themselves in a manner that reflects the organization’s high standards. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects frequently, notably the capacity to carry at least eight entrees per tray. Flexibility in scheduling is also a key requirement, as the position involves working nights, weekends, and certain holidays to meet event demands.

As part of its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, Oak View Group emphasizes the importance of united efforts to innovate and raise the standards of excellence in the live entertainment sector. This opportunity not only allows candidates to be part of a global leader in the industry but also to grow within a company that values the unique contributions of every employee. The Banquet Server position at the Sevierville Convention Center offers individuals a chance to be directly involved in delivering memorable event experiences while developing valuable skills in hospitality and customer service. The position will remain open until October 9, 2026.
