The Sevierville Convention Center, part of the Oak View Group's distinguished portfolio, is a premier event destination based in Sevierville, Tennessee. This expansive facility caters to a diverse array of events including competitive arts, trade and retail shows, meetings, conventions, retreats, seminars, banquets, receptions, and holiday parties. Featuring a stunning ballroom capable of hosting up to 1,500 guests, the center also provides two large exhibit halls totaling over 107,000 square feet and various intimate meeting rooms, making it an adaptable space suitable for events of all sizes and needs. Located on a hilltop with breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains and the Sevierville Golf Club, the center offers convenient access for visitors from the wider Smoky Mountain area and is surrounded by a vibrant community known for excellent retail, dining, entertainment, and lodging amenities.
The Banquet Server role at the Sevierville Convention Center is a part-time position designed to deliver outstanding customer service throughout the lifecycle of events hosted at this prestigious venue. The role pays $17.00 to $18.00 per hour and offers part-time employees access to a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, supporting financial wellness alongside flexible working opportunities.
As a Banquet Server, you will be integral in ensuring that guests experience top-tier hospitality during banquets and catered events. Key responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, taking their food and beverage orders accurately, delivering orders promptly, and maintaining attentiveness to guests' needs by refilling beverages and responding to special requests or concerns in an efficient and professional manner. The role requires exceptional composure and professionalism in fast-paced environments, along with the physical capability to manage serving multiple entrees per tray and assist in setting up and breaking down banquet areas.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- minimum one year of relevant work experience
- physical ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects frequently
- availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- basic arithmetic skills
- punctuality and consistent attendance
- ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints
- professional demeanor
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred
- minimum of one year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
- knowledge and/or experience as a banquet server or banquet waiter
- ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- knowledge of basic arithmetic
- must be punctual with consistent attendance
- must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers
Job Duties
