Known for its commitment to innovation and excellence, OVG offers end-to-end capabilities that span venue development, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, making it a key player in the live entertainment industry worldwide.
One of OVG's notable venues, the Wichita Wind Surge at Equity Bank Park, is seeking a dedicated Assistant General Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. This operation plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and beverage management services within a dynamic, event-driven setting. The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in ensuring a professional, efficient, and profitable operation of the venue’s catering and concession services. With a focus on compliance with all relevant state and federal labor and safety laws, the role involves supervising, coaching, training, and mentoring all levels of staff. The successful candidate will proactively foster a positive and cooperative work environment and independently manage employment actions such as hiring, discipline, and promotion.
This position is vital for maintaining the high standards of customer service and operational excellence that OVG is known for. The Assistant General Manager is expected to manage complex operational details such as scheduling, labor allocation, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control, while also overseeing alcohol service compliance and safety protocols throughout events. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with internal departments and external partners, including suppliers, vendors, and show managers, to uphold the venue's reputation and ensure a seamless guest experience.
This is a salaried position offering an annual salary range of $65,000 to $85,000 and requires a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends to accommodate the variable demands of live events. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction, sound business judgment, and the ability to make independent decisions under pressure. The role also offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off covering vacation, sick days, and holidays. The position remains open until August 7, 2026, inviting candidates committed to contributing to a premier live entertainment experience and upholding the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion that define Oak View Group.
