The Assistant General Manager role at University of Kansas Athletics is a full-time position integral to ensuring the efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the venue's catering and concessions departments. This role involves supporting the General Manager in managing staff across various levels, ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws, sanitation ordinances, and alcohol service regulations. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 3-5 years of management experience in food-related or concessions industry
  • valid concessions manager certificate
  • nationally recognized food service sanitation certification
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to make sound decisions quickly and under pressure
  • proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • capacity to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • valid food handler's certificate
  • alcohol service permit if required by venue location
  • strong knowledge of inventory and menu planning
  • familiarity with sanitation and alcohol policies
  • ability to handle cash responsibly and accurately
  • high level of integrity and professionalism
  • availability to work variable schedules including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
