The Category Manager role within TikTok Shop is a critical position tasked with driving growth and revenue in the Food and Beverage category. Based in Los Angeles, this is a regular full-time employment opportunity with a competitive base salary range of $102,600 to $159,600 annually, with additional bonuses, incentives, and stock units possible. The role involves acquiring and incubating enterprise merchants to scale the category effectively, discovering innovative collaboration models, and solving key business growth challenges through strong cross-functional teamwork. The Category Manager is expected to employ a consultative approach, offering strategic content solutions, operational improvements, and partnership opportunities across creators, affiliates, agencies, merchandising, and logistics. Keeping sellers updated on TikTok Shop product developments and new promotional opportunities is also integral to this role.
This role requires a deep understanding of e-commerce dynamics, excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant e-commerce experience
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding commercial targets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments
- Passion for innovation and digital commerce
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in e-commerce business
- Track record of delivering and exceeding sales, GMV, or other commercial goals
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A good team player, a fast learner, and open to changes
- Experience in brand-led categories such as Food and Beverage, Beauty, or CPG preferred
- Familiar with TikTok and other content platforms
- experience in content-based e-commerce is highly preferred
- Strong connections with brands and distributors are preferred
Job Duties
- Acquire and incubate merchants to support category growth
- Discover innovative collaborative models that align to the merchant's short-term and long-term development plans and invest platform resources effectively and efficiently
- Solve key challenges in business growth by strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
