The Category Manager position within TikTok Shop is a critical role focused on the Food & Beverage category in the United States. This role is based in New York and is a regular full-time employment opportunity offering a competitive base salary range of $108,000 to $168,000 annually, with potential additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units that reward outstanding performance. The Category Manager will work with enterprise partners, supporting category growth by acquiring and incubating merchants in the Food & Beverage sector. They will be responsible for driving topline revenue growth for TikTok's commerce business by discovering innovative collaborative models that align with merchants' short-term and long-term plans.

This position requires a highly entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for the intersection of content and commerce. The manager will collaborate cross-functionally with teams spanning content, operations, creators, affiliates, merchandising, and logistics to solve key business growth challenges. A consultative approach is essential, as the role involves offering strategic insights and solutions that enhance merchants' success on the platform. The Category Manager will also keep sellers updated on TikTok Shop product developments and promotional opportunities, ensuring partners leverage TikTok's unique ecosystem to its fullest potential.

Job Requirements

  • 3 plus years experience in e-commerce business
  • proven history of exceeding sales or commercial goals
  • excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • adaptability and willingness to learn
  • experience in brand-led categories such as food and beverage, beauty, or CPG
  • knowledge of TikTok and other content platforms preferred
  • established connections with brands and distributors preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in e-commerce business
  • track record of delivering and exceeding sales, GMV, or other commercial goals
  • excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
