Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- Previous experience in baking or pastry decorating preferred
- Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment including mixers, blenders, and dough laminators
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts
- Culinary school certification is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is an advantage
Job Duties
- Open the bakery early in the morning (5:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.)
- Guarantee food safety standards
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
- Mix various ingredients to create fillings for breads and cakes
- Monitor food supplies and place orders as necessary
- Train team members if needed
- Assemble, fill, finish, and decorate cakes and select pastries
- Build, freeze, and decorate cakes and other bakery products following recipe instructions
- Maintain the bakery showcase and keep it stocked with designated cakes and pastries
- Manage and complete daily production list requirements
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Maintain inventory and report as assigned
