The role of Ticketing Manager at MGM Resorts International is a critical leadership position based in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Ticketing Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Ticket Office while supervising a team of staff and ensuring alignment with MGM's high service standards. This includes providing the necessary tools and support to ticketing supervisors and specialists, to guarantee smooth functioning and exceptional guest experiences.

A key aspect of the role involves workforce management such as scheduling to meet fluctuating demand, labor cost control through forecasting event-driven ticket volumes, and conflict resolution within the team. The Ticketing Manager also maintains communication with other operational departments, external stakeholders such as Ticketmaster, promoters, and executives, ensuring seamless coordination and problem-solving. In addition, the position requires overseeing accounting and cash handling protocols, managing ticket inventory efficiently, and preparing detailed reconciliations and reports.   • minimum 6 years experience in a ticketing or box office role
  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Manage and lead ticketing staff and supervisors and resolve employee relations issues
  • oversee employee scheduling to ensure sufficient coverage aligned with projected volume demands
  • control labor costs through forecasting of ticketing volume and event dates
  • maintain communication with all hotel operational departments to resolve guest service issues and equipment malfunctions
  • liaise between MGM and Ticketmaster, sister properties, promoters, and executives
  • monitor and develop standard operating procedures for maximum efficiency
  • oversee ticketing accounting and cash handling procedures
  • coordinate event creation, inventory, and ticket allotments
  • manage and maximize ticket inventory for all property shows and events
  • supervise venue reconciliation and prepare daily reports for promoters and management
  • perform other job related duties as requested
