The role of Ticketing Manager is a critical leadership position within MGM Resorts International, responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Ticket Office. Reporting directly to upper management, this position requires overseeing all aspects of ticketing services, managing a team of supervisors and specialists, and collaborating closely with various departments and partners to deliver outstanding service. The Ticketing Manager ensures that the department operates efficiently by implementing innovative strategies, managing labor costs, and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders such as Ticketmaster, promoters, and casino marketing teams. With a salary range of $57,900.00 to $77,300.00, this role offers competitive compensation and eligibility for company incentive plans.

The Ticketing Manager plays a vital role in upholding MGM Resorts’ high standards by providing the necessary tools, equipment, and support needed for the ticketing team to excel. This includes leading employee scheduling to optimize coverage based on projected event volumes, controlling labor expenses, and ensuring accurate cash handling and accounting procedures. The individual in this role also supervises the coordination of event creation and manages ticket inventory to maximize revenue across MGM venues. Furthermore, the Ticketing Manager is a key liaison connecting MGM Resorts with external partners including executive leadership and promoters, offering effective communication to swiftly resolve any operational challenges impacting guest experiences or equipment functionality.

This full-time position demands a hands-on leader with the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least six years of experience in ticketing or box office roles and demonstrate solid management expertise, preferably within a resort or entertainment setting. Additionally, familiarity with budgeting and profit and loss statements is highly desirable. Job Duties

  • Manages and leads ticketing staff and supervisors and resolves employee relations issues
  • Oversees employee scheduling to ensure sufficient coverage aligned with projected volume demands, maximizing proficiency and minimizing payroll expenses
  • Controls labor costs through forecasting of ticketing volume, on sale dates and event dates
  • Maintains a high level of communication with all hotel operational departments to effectively resolve situations impacting guest service or malfunctions of department equipment
  • Liaison between MGM and Ticketmaster, Sister Properties, Promoters, Executives, etc
  • Monitors existing standard operating procedures and develops new innovative strategies to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Oversees ticketing accounting and cash handling procedures
  • Coordinates event creation, inventory, and ticket allotments to outside companies, Casino Marketing, Executives and Promoters for all MGM Grand Venues
  • Manages and maximizes ticket inventory for all property/venue shows/events
  • Supervises venue reconciliation and prepares daily reports for Promoters and Management
  • Perform other job related duties as requested
