Job Description
Thursday is a pioneering company revolutionizing the way singles meet and interact through real-life events. Founded with a mission to make dating fun and authentic again, Thursday has quickly grown into a global IRL dating movement, hosting events in over 150 cities worldwide. With strong media recognition including features in Forbes, the BBC, and Australia’s top morning shows, Thursday embodies the energy and excitement of face-to-face connections in a modern world dominated by digital interactions. As a company that emphasizes community-building and organic networking, Thursday thrives on creating vibrant, engaging, and socially immersive experiences for singles looking to connect beyond the screen.
The company actively combines the dynamic nightlife culture with innovative event concepts such as bar takeovers, rooftop mingles, wellness collaborations, and fitness events, all designed to encourage singles to break away from their phones and engage directly with one another. Their social media presence, notably on Instagram through accounts like @thursday, highlights the company’s dedication to building a community that values genuine connections and social experiences.
Currently, Thursday is expanding its footprint in Hartford, CT, by recruiting freelance Thursday Events Producers who will take charge of delivering outstanding social events in the city. This role is commission-based, providing an exciting opportunity to earn an average of $3,000 to $4,000 per month, with top performers making upwards of $10,000. Freelancers who join Thursday aren’t just event hosts - they become the face and heartbeat of the local Thursday community, responsible for curating memorable social experiences that facilitate meaningful connections among singles.
The Thursday Events Producer role calls for an extroverted, energetic individual with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for community building. This person will lead the end-to-end process of event production, including venue scouting and booking, online event listing, engaging with the local Instagram community as the face of the brand, and hosting high-energy events that captivate attendees. The producer’s efforts help shape the social atmosphere of the city’s dating scene, making each event unique and enjoyable while fostering real-life interactions.
This position offers comprehensive onboarding, access to design assets, and continuous global support, ensuring that hosts have the resources and guidance needed to succeed. High-performing hosts earn up to thousands of dollars monthly and receive exclusive perks such as host-level wristbands to Thursday’s international singles trips, including destinations like Bali, skiing resorts, and Croatia’s yacht week. Outstanding producers are also considered for full-time roles within the company, providing a pathway for career advancement.
Join Thursday and become part of an innovative movement that’s reshaping dating culture in an authentic and impactful way. If you are confident, sociable, and driven by a desire to foster meaningful human connections, this freelance opportunity is your doorway to making a tangible difference in your community while earning attractive commissions.
