The Thrift Store Cashier role at The Arc of Spokane’s Spokane Valley Store is a full-time position working 40 hours a week from Wednesday through Sunday, between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. This position is non-exempt with an hourly wage starting at $17.13. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and life insurance for employees working 30 or more hours weekly, paid time off after the eligibility period, and 10 paid holidays annually. The pay scale is based on longevity, incentivizing dedicated service at the organization.
As a cashier at The Arc of Spokane Thrift Store, you will be the face of the organization to its customers, making the first and last impression every day. Job Requirements
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Must successfully pass required background checks
- Ability to work full-time schedule including Wednesday through Sunday
- Flexibility to accommodate seasonal store hours
- Reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including answering phones and assisting customers
- Educate customers on The Arc of Spokane’s mission and services
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth store operation
- Assist with inventory and restocking as needed
