Part of the Hyatt portfolio, Thompson Hotels combines modern design with an emphasis on authentic and spontaneous service, catering to discerning travelers who seek not just comfort, but a unique and memorable stay. The brand is dedicated to creating environments where creativity and service excellence drive guest satisfaction, ensuring every detail reflects the essence of luxury living. Thompson Hotels often feature boutique properties in key urban and resort locations, providing a blend of upscale amenities, artistic design, and an atmosphere that encourages both relaxation and vibrant social connections.

The Cook 2 is also expected to support team efforts beyond their station, including assisting in kitchen tasks during busy times and helping train new team members. A spirit of cooperation, willingness to learn, and a desire to enhance guest satisfaction through culinary excellence are essential qualities.

This role requires the ability to manage the mise en place independently, ensuring all prep is completed before service and communicating any challenges to management. The candidate must also exhibit a proactive approach, such as stepping in to assist dishwashing when necessary and meticulously cleaning and resetting their station after shifts. Accurate logging and communication of prep lists ensure smooth hand-offs between shifts and maintain overall kitchen readiness.

Employees are encouraged to bring their unique personality and passion for hospitality to their daily tasks, contributing positively to the team and guest experience.
