Job Description

This job posting is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's logos and food products, but operates as a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. Employment decisions, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling, are the sole responsibility of the franchisee. McDonald's USA does not control any employment matters and is not involved in the hiring process. This setup ensures that employees work directly with the franchisee owner and management team who operate the restaurant on a day-to-day basis.

This position is for a General Manager role within the independently owned McDonald's restaurant. The General Manager is a key leadership position responsible for managing the restaurant’s overall operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and cleanliness, and running a profitable business. The successful candidate will work closely with their leader to define restaurant goals and develop actionable plans to achieve those goals. Leadership involves overseeing department managers, assisting them with goal setting, providing coaching and feedback, and driving improvements across all departments for enhanced performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on management and involves recruiting, hiring, and developing shift and department managers to build a strong leadership team that can sustain long-term success. Ideal candidates often come with prior experience in managing high-volume restaurants or hospitality establishments. Experience in quick service restaurants is especially valued. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald's restaurant.
