Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum one year of institutional cooking experience
  • minimum two years of food service experience
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • must live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian
  • availability to work on-site
  • compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Produce hot foods including wraps, paninis, sandwiches, pizza and grab-and-go items
  • rotate between stations including soup, salad and sanitation
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • prepare ingredients according to recipes and portion control guidelines
  • assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
