This position ensures the highest possible quality of theater presentations by managing sound, automation, and environmental comfort. The IMAX Host will greet guests, assist visitors with special needs, provide exemplary customer service, and control crowd movement in and around the theater. Operating the concession stand is also part of the role, requiring knowledge of food handling, cash register operations, stocking, and cleanliness. Shift work that includes nights and weekends is mandatory to accommodate theater scheduling and visitor demand.\n\nThis position demands strong communication skills, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to maintain professionalism in a lively, sometimes crowded environment. Other responsibilities include setting up AV equipment for events, maintaining theater appearance and safety, assisting in emergency evacuations, and working alongside volunteers and the management team to maintain smooth operations. Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, have relevant oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to change while maintaining a positive and resourceful attitude. Fluency in Spanish is considered a plus, enhancing visitor engagement. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience with customer service or theater operations preferred
- Ability to work in loud and crowded environments
- Willingness to stand for long periods
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to operate AV and retail software

Job Duties
- Operate IMAX Dome Theatre projection and sound systems and ancillary equipment
- Greet and assist visitors, including those with special needs
- Control crowds during theater entry and exit
