With a portfolio that boasts a combined asset value exceeding $20 billion and generates over $5 billion in cumulative revenues, Highgate offers expert guidance throughout all phases of the hospitality property cycle including planning, development, recapitalization, and disposition. Their expertise extends further into brand development and cutting-edge revenue management, helping optimize performance and maximize asset value. They maintain corporate offices across multiple locations including London, New York, Dallas, and Seattle.
The Newbury Boston at One Newbury Street, located in the prestigious Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, is an iconic hotel property originally opened in 1927 as one of the first Ritz-Carlton hotels in the U.S., and more recently known as the Taj Boston. This historic building has been transformed into a 286-room luxury hotel featuring 16,000 square feet of elegant event spaces, signature dining experiences, and a reimagined entrance on Newbury Street.
The Street Bar Service Assistant role at The Newbury Boston is critical to providing premium guest services within the hotel's bar and dining environment. This position involves assisting servers by maintaining cleanliness, ensuring the presentation standards of tables, and supporting the seamless operation of beverage service. The assistant is responsible for keeping tables clean and properly set with spotless china, glassware, silverware, and linens, directly contributing to the overall guest experience. Demonstrating attentiveness, friendliness, and courteousness toward guests, managers, and co-workers is essential in this role. The position requires an individual to help with tasks such as replenishing beverages, bussing tables, managing side-work duties, and providing exceptional customer service in the absence of servers or bartenders.
This role offers hourly employment and demands a flexible schedule with the ability to withstand physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods. The Street Bar Service Assistant must be well-versed in effective communication, multitasking, and problem-solving to thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment. Overall, this position presents a valuable opportunity to be part of a luxury hotel operation recognized for its historic significance and commitment to excellence.
