We are seeking a Front Office Associate who will be the first point of contact for our guests. This role requires an individual capable of greeting guests cordially, managing check-ins and check-outs promptly and professionally, and efficiently handling reservations. The successful candidate will be adept in using front office computer systems or manual procedures to ensure smooth and accurate daily operations. The position emphasizes cash handling accuracy and the ability to provide clear information about hotel rates, discounts, and reservation procedures. This hourly role offers a pay rate of $18.00 and requires someone who can thrive in a team environment, demonstrating a high work ethic and self-initiative while occasionally working nights, weekends, and holidays. The role is primarily office-based, involving prolonged periods of computer work with occasional physical activity such as standing or lifting light weights. Job Requirements
- High work ethic and self-initiative
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a standard office environment
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk occasionally during the workday
- Frequent use of fine motor skills for keyboarding, typing, and operating office equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to occasionally bend, reach, or carry items
- Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed
- Visual ability to read computer screens and printed materials for extended periods
- Ability to participate in conversations and meetings using phone or headset

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a front office or customer service role preferred
- Proficient in using computer systems and office equipment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of reservation and hotel management software
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team player with a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel
- Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
- Promptly, accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges
- Have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
- Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly
- Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly
- Have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each
- Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations
- Should be able to take reservations in approximately 2 minutes
- Know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
- Pay rate: $18.00 hourly (USD)
