This distinguished hotel offers guests a unique blend of Southern charm and modern elegance, providing an unforgettable experience through its beautifully furnished rooms, impeccable service, and prime location. Just three blocks away from the vibrant City Market and King Street shops, guests can immerse themselves in the rich culture and bustling shopping scene of downtown Charleston. The hotel features a refreshing swimming pool, an on-site restaurant serving delightful cuisine, and 2,759 square feet of meeting and event space, making it an ideal destination for both leisure and business travelers. Each room at the Renaissance is equipped with luxurious amenities, including marble bathrooms, a 32-inch flat-screen TV with cable and satellite channels, a mini-bar, and tea and coffee making facilities. Additionally, the hotel offers attentive services such as room service and concierge assistance, ensuring guests enjoy comfort and convenience throughout their stay.

As a Food & Beverage Manager at the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the guest experience by leading the hospitality team and ensuring exemplary service quality across all dining areas including the lounge and banquet facilities. This is an overtime eligible manager (OEM) position where overtime is calculated accordingly, highlighting the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the hospitality industry. Your responsibilities will include coaching and training staff to provide warm, efficient service that delights guests and fosters repeat visits. You will be the operations and compliance expert, maintaining rigorous standards around staff grooming, safety protocols, and essential certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid. On the administrative side, you will manage payroll, staff scheduling, and productivity reports to ensure smooth daily operations. As a quality and promotions specialist, you will oversee food presentation and taste, implement engaging promotional activities, and manage inventory and beverage purchasing efficiently. Your communication skills will be key in swiftly resolving guest concerns and maintaining clear information flow among team members. Moreover, you will actively analyze operational reports, participate in management meetings, and contribute your versatility and positive attitude wherever needed to uphold the hotel’s esteemed reputation.
