Occupying the top five floors of a historic landmark building, this 229-room property offers travelers an elegant and memorable hospitality experience. The hotel shares the structure with the JW Marriott Hotel, which occupies the first 12 stories of the former Continental Bank building. Recognized for its blend of historic charm and contemporary amenities, The LaSalle Chicago, Autograph Collection caters to business and leisure travelers seeking a high level of comfort and personalized service in the bustling downtown Chicago area.
We are currently seeking an Executive Meeting Manager to join our team and contribute significantly to the success of our group sales and event management operations. The Executive Meeting Manager is a pivotal role within our hotel, focusing on proactively prospecting, facilitating, and closing group and catering business opportunities. This individual will also be responsible for the seamless execution of events within the hotel, ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This management-level position expects associates to dedicate the necessary time to fulfill their responsibilities effectively, with overtime applied and calculated as per company policy.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic professional with at least one year of experience in sales management roles such as Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, or Sales Coordinator. Strong professional selling skills—including the ability to open, probe, support, and close sales—are highly valued. Proficiency in internet research and database mining is essential to identify and target potential business leads. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for negotiating, convincing, and influencing various stakeholders including corporate clients, hotel guests, and other managerial personnel.
In this role, the Executive Meeting Manager will be accountable for meeting assigned sales and revenue goals and maintaining strong market awareness by monitoring and evaluating current trends. The individual will adhere strictly to established company regulations, standards, and sales metrics while developing a thorough understanding of hotel operations and interdepartmental policies.
Responsibilities extend to detailed event management procedures including banquet event order creation, food and beverage forecasting, resume communication, and room block management. The role demands accuracy in producing and reviewing catering contracts and event orders. The Executive Meeting Manager will respond promptly to all leads and requests for proposals within 24 hours, employ yield management techniques to negotiate rates and commitments, and strategically use revenue management tools to optimize the hotel's financial performance.
Moreover, the role includes participating in daily revenue maximization meetings to evaluate the value of potential business, conducting site inspections, making local sales calls, attending industry trade shows and client events, and promoting the hotel within community and business networking organizations. The position requires maintaining strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations as applicable, fostering relationships that enhance the hotel's market presence.

This package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and accident insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan.
