Job Description
The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is an upscale luxury resort located in Houston, Texas, renowned for its exceptional hospitality and members-only services. The establishment combines the offerings of a luxury hotel, an exclusive club, and a full-service spa set in a picturesque wooded area. The Houstonian is committed to providing its guests and members with superior dining experiences, recreational activities, and wellness amenities, all tailored to a discerning clientele that expects the highest standards of service and professionalism. The property hosts multiple dining and beverage outlets, including the TRIBUTE Restaurant, a sophisticated Bar, Arbor Grill, as well as A la carte dining and Room Service. Each outlet is designed to deliver a unique yet consistently high level of culinary quality and customer satisfaction in an elegant and welcoming environment.
The role of Club Outlets Supervisor at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is integral to maintaining the luxury standard and reputation of this premier hospitality venue. In this supervisory and leadership capacity, the successful candidate will manage the operations of multiple dining and beverage outlets, ensuring that services exceed expectations. The Club Outlets Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities that include staff supervision, scheduling, training, and enforcing rigorous service standards laid out in the department’s standard operating procedures. The position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-driven individual who thrives in an upscale hospitality environment and is adept at balancing operational efficiency with elite guest service.
This leadership position is essential to fostering collaboration across Food and Beverage departments and working closely with kitchen staff to align on the vision and quality of offerings. The supervisor will monitor outlet profitability, handle forecasting and revenue reporting, and work proactively to enhance financial performance. The role demands excellent communication skills to maintain effective relationships with colleagues and management teams throughout the hotel, club, and spa. Attention to operational details—such as the maintenance and safe use of fixtures, equipment, and furniture—is crucial, as is promoting a safety-conscious culture in adherence to health and safety regulations.
Shift flexibility including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to meet the dynamic needs of the outlets. The role also demands physical stamina to perform various tasks over extended shifts, such as sitting, standing, and occasional lifting. Familiarity with software systems like InfoGenesis, Microsoft Office Suite, Open Table, Excel, and UltiPro for payroll management enhances operational accuracy and efficiency. With a minimum of three years in restaurant experience and at least two years in supervisory roles, the candidate must bring both industry expertise and proven leadership capabilities to uphold and elevate The Houstonian’s esteemed service levels. This role is not only about managing operations but also about being a proactive ambassador for luxury hospitality, ensuring every member and guest experience is memorable and exceptional.
