Job Description

Aimbridge Hospitality is a renowned leader in the hospitality industry, recognized for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its extensive portfolio of properties. As a global leader in hotel management, Aimbridge provides guests with outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and memorable stays. With properties ranging from boutique hotels to large-scale resorts, Aimbridge Hospitality combines industry expertise with personalized guest care to create environments where travelers feel truly valued and cared for.

The Gunter Hotel, part of Aimbridge Hospitality's portfolio, is a historic and iconic property centrally located in the heart of downtown San Antonio. Established in 1909 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Gunter Hotel is steeped in rich tradition and offers guests a unique blend of classic charm and modern amenities. Its prime location near the famous River Walk and the Alamo makes it a popular destination for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel features elegant accommodations, craft cocktails at the popular speakeasy Bar 414, and fresh, seasonal dishes at Market on Houston, ensuring guests enjoy a complete San Antonio experience.

As a Front Desk Assistant Manager (Overtime Eligible Manager) at Aimbridge Hospitality, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining smooth front office operations and elevating guest service standards. Collaborating closely with the Front Desk Manager, you will lead the front desk team by motivating, coaching, and guiding staff to provide top-notch hospitality. You will be responsible for ensuring every guest receives a warm and efficient welcome, resolving guest concerns with professionalism and calm, and managing operational details such as room revenue and system accuracy.

This leadership role demands a dynamic individual who thrives in high-pressure situations and excels in problem-solving. Your ability to maintain composure, think critically, and lead by example will enhance the guest experience and drive the success of the front office team. The role also emphasizes organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency with hotel management systems to ensure seamless financial and operational control.

This position is overtime eligible, meaning you will be compensated for extra hours worked according to applicable labor laws. Aimbridge Hospitality values its employees and offers a competitive benefits package after an initial qualifying period for full-time staff. Highlights include daily pay options, comprehensive health coverage, disability insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and employee assistance programs.

Working at The Gunter Hotel places you at the heart of one of San Antonio's most treasured landmarks, where tradition meets hospitality excellence. If you are passionate about delivering outstanding guest service, leading a dedicated team, and contributing to a historic property's continued success, this role offers an exciting career opportunity in an esteemed hospitality company.
