The Student Food Services / Catering Worker role at Aramark offers an exciting opportunity for students to kickstart their career in food services and customer hospitality. This role is designed to be a foundational experience, providing hands-on training and practical skills in food preparation, safety, and customer interaction within a dynamic and supportive work environment. Student workers will play a critical role in preparing and building food items according to standardized recipes and directions, ensuring proper storage and handling to meet food safety standards. In addition to food prep, the role requires maintaining clean and sanitary workstations by setting up prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables, as well as cleaning and breaking down these areas at the end of shifts.
As the role combines both food preparation and customer service responsibilities, Student Food Services / Catering Workers will frequently interact with customers, serving food while ensuring guest satisfaction by anticipating customer needs and maintaining a friendly, positive demeanor. This position will also involve replenishing food items and ensuring that product levels are stocked appropriately throughout service hours. Safety adherence is paramount in this role, with workers required to follow Aramark's safety policies and procedures rigorously, including food safety and sanitation protocols. Security of company assets is also part of the daily responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Must have or acquire food safety certification

Job Duties
- Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
- Properly stores food in accordance with standards
- Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables
- Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations
- Serves food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers' needs
- Replenishes food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation
