The role of the Casino Porter at The D Casino & Hotel is integral to supporting the smooth operation of the public areas within the casino and the hotel. This hourly position focuses on ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of designated areas including the casino floor, public spaces such as restrooms and parking areas, and certain unrestricted back-of-house zones. The Casino Porter is responsible for creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment that enhances the overall guest experience. This role requires attentiveness to detail and a dedication to service standards upheld by the company. Additionally, the Casino Porter serves as a friendly point of contact for guests, assisting with requests such as escorting guests to desired locations and responding promptly to guest concerns with problem-solving skills. The position involves physical tasks which may include sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning of slot machines and chairs, restroom maintenance, trash removal, and waste management including biohazards. The position demands adherence to safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, as well as a capacity for working both indoors and outdoors in various conditions. Candidates should have a minimum of six months of relevant experience preferably in a hospitality or gaming environment and possess the ability to communicate effectively in English. The Casino Porter plays a key role in upholding the company’s reputation for excellent guest service and a clean, comfortable atmosphere conducive to a pleasurable visit. Job Requirements
- At least 6 months of related experience preferred
- able to effectively communicate in english in both written and verbal forms
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work safely including understanding and following company safety policies and procedures completing work in a safe manner caring about safety of self and others responding appropriately in an emergency and reporting unsafe conditions this also includes being aware of unsafe conditions such as spills wet areas debris and addressing quickly and efficiently
- ability to work with cleaning products chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company
- must be able to perform assigned duties both indoors and outdoors
- must understand cleaning and disposing of biohazards
- must be at least 21 years of age or older
- must be able to effectively communicate in english
Job Duties
- Responsible for practicing supporting and always promoting the company service standards
- always maintaining a clean environment
- responsible for ensuring guest's needs are met
- responsible for escorting guest's to requested areas
- responsible for the cleanliness of all public areas and assigned back of house areas
- sweeps and removes all wrappers broken glass ashtrays and debris from floor
- cleans and dusts slot machines including areas between machines doors and woodwork
