This hourly employment opportunity requires a team-oriented individual dedicated to maintaining the smooth operation of bar services. As an Apprentice Bartender/Barback, you will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary supplies such as garnishes, straws, napkins, ice, liquor, wine, and beer are readily available to the bartenders. The role also entails assisting guests and team members by taking orders, preparing drinks, bussing tables, and handling payment processes through the POS system, particularly during peak hours. This position is fundamental in promoting The D Casino & Hotel’s commitment to superior service standards and responsible alcohol practices.

Your day-to-day duties will include opening and closing bar responsibilities, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a well-organized bar environment. Communication skills are essential as you will interact directly with guests, responding promptly to their needs and ensuring an enjoyable and safe atmosphere. Additionally, you will be expected to follow all regulations set forth by the company and the Gaming Control Board, including responsible alcohol service protocols such as recognizing and managing intoxicated patrons by slowing down service or cutting off alcohol when necessary.

The physical demands of this position require comfort with kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will work in an environment that may occasionally be noisy, hot, cold, or contain secondhand smoke. The role offers valuable opportunities to develop multitasking abilities, improve customer service skills, and grow within a thriving casino hospitality setting. The D Casino & Hotel encourages candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to deliver outstanding guest experiences to join their team.
