The Food and Beverage Service Crew position at Grand Pacific Resort plays a critical role in the overall guest experience by ensuring timely, professional, and friendly service of food and beverages. The position is responsible for taking and serving orders, handling payments, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within dining and pool areas. The Food and Beverage Service Crew is expected to use suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Physical stamina is essential as the role includes standing for extended periods, lifting trays, and maneuvering service carts. Job Requirements
- Minimum age to serve alcohol
- high school or equivalent education
- one year previous experience as a server preferred
- ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits
- valid Food Handler's Card
- valid TIPS/RBS certification
- must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with company standards
- physical ability to stand for long periods, lift trays up to 30 lbs, push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
- ability to adhere to resort rules and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- one year previous experience as a server preferred
- ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits
- possession of a valid Food Handler's Card
- possession of valid TIPS/RBS certification
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- basic computational and computer skills
- ability to describe menu items and preparation methods
Job Duties
- Serve food and beverage items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner
- take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques
- clear dining area during service
- control guest checks and secure proper payment
- ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the Outlet Supervisor
- maintain proper condition and cleanliness of pool areas and servicing equipment
- collaborate with supervisors and other departments as necessary
