The Club at St. James is excited to present a full-time career opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to learn and contribute to the club's vision while playing a critical role in enhancing member dining experiences. The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for leadership and strategic direction to ensure every guest encounter surpasses expectations and aligns with the club’s service standards and initiatives. This role serves as a pivotal management position, particularly during busy periods when the Assistant Restaurant Manager acts as the Manager on Duty. This position will require managing all front-of-house operations to maintain consistency in quality, service, timing, and the cleanliness of the operation.

This role offers a competitive salary range between $45,000 and $48,000 annually, dependent on the candidate’s experience. Along with monetary compensation, the position includes an attractive benefits package featuring health and dental care, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. As Assistant Restaurant Manager, the successful candidate will be challenged to plan weekly and seasonal event programming, assist in the hiring and training of front-of-house staff, maintain compliance with Health Department standards, and manage food and beverage inventory control while staying within budgeted labor and expenditures.

The position demands strong leadership abilities and a positive demeanor to maintain high morale amongst team members in a dynamic environment. Candidates must be physically capable of performing tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, along with fluency in English. The role also requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, accommodating the hospitality industry’s variable scheduling needs.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height
  • frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping
