Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Food Handlers Certification compliant with state requirements
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag
  • Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and their preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
  • Complete necessary food and station preparations before opening
  • Prepare and display buffet food items according to standards
  • Maintain kitchen line post during operating hours
  • Prepare banquet food following event orders
  • Service food for Associate Cafeteria
  • Prepare all foods according to standard recipes
  • Prepare specials under restaurant leadership direction
  • Breakdown buffets and kitchen line after meals
  • Work banquet food stations as scheduled
  • Practice safe work habits
  • Know fire extinguishing equipment locations and operations
  • Be familiar with hotel policies and emergency procedures
  • Use Production Charts per standards
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment
  • Maintain "Clean As You Go" policy
  • Assist in food storage and rotation
  • Sign keys out and in under supervision
  • Attend management meetings
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Occasionally interact with guests and colleagues unsupervised
  • Maintain trust and responsibility
  • Represent the company with good character and sound judgment
