Job Description
The Brandywine Radnor Hotel is an esteemed full-service hotel located in the heart of Philadelphia's Main Line. This upscale establishment is recognized for its award-winning service, offering guests a polished and welcoming atmosphere that meets the needs of business travelers, social groups, and the local community. The hotel features 121 guest rooms including seven luxury suites, complemented by on-site dining facilities and extensive event spaces suited for weddings, meetings, and private functions. Team members at the Brandywine Radnor Hotel are dedicated to maintaining a guest-centered environment where high-quality service is paramount, fostering an ambiance of professionalism and excellence.
We are currently seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Food Runners in our full-service restaurant. As a Food Runner, you will play an essential behind-the-scenes role that ensures each dining experience is seamless and memorable. In this role, you will collaborate closely with servers and guests, delivering food and beverages with enthusiasm and professionalism. You will be the bridge between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring that orders are accurate, presented beautifully, and served promptly. This position requires strong multitasking abilities, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to provide superior service.
The Food Runner is responsible for upholding the highest standards of hospitality by addressing guests by name, anticipating and responding to their requests, and assisting servers with menu presentations and food and beverage suggestions. You will also maintain cleanliness and order in kitchen and café areas, monitor and replenish supplies, and assist with daily and weekly operational checklists. Staying informed about menu items, daily specials, and any unavailable dishes is crucial to provide accurate and informative service.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in upscale restaurants, hotels, resorts, or private clubs preferred. Certification in liquor, wine, and food service, including Alcohol Awareness, is a plus. Physical stamina is needed to stand, walk, and carry up to 50 lbs for extended periods while maintaining a professional appearance in all weather conditions. We value team players who thrive in fast-paced environments and strive to create positive dining experiences for guests.
This position offers exciting opportunities for those looking to grow within a professional hospitality environment. After an initial waiting period, full-time employees become eligible for a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. We are also pleased to offer daily pay options, providing flexibility for our team members.
If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a vibrant, guest-focused team, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Brandywine Radnor Hotel family. Join us in delivering memorable dining experiences and helping us maintain our reputation as one of the premier service destinations in the region.
