We are currently looking to hire an experienced Food & Beverage Director to join our team. This is a pivotal role in our establishment, where you will be entrusted with leading and managing all aspects of our food and beverage operations. As the Food & Beverage Director, you will oversee everything from menu development and food preparation to service quality and event banquet management. Your leadership will ensure that every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience, complementing the luxurious accommodation and professional service the hotel is known for. Key responsibilities include organizing, directing, and supervising all food and beverage preparation and service across the various outlets, including the restaurant and banquet facilities. You will also be tasked with maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety while working to reduce waste and optimize operational efficiency.
Additionally, you will manage staff across all food and beverage departments, driving team performance through effective communication and training. Collaborating with the kitchen staff and culinary team, you will help design appealing menus and banquet setups, ensuring each event offers a wow-worthy experience for our guests. Budget management, sales boosting strategies, and labor oversight will be critical components of your daily duties. You will safeguard sensitive information, cash, and secure areas, acting as a representative of the hotel with professionalism and integrity. This role also requires occasional travel for company business, which you will handle responsibly.
We are seeking candidates who have at least five years of progressive experience in hospitality or related fields, with relevant degree credentials including associate's, bachelor’s, or culinary degrees. Candidates familiar with independent, high-volume full-service restaurant operations and experience with restaurant openings are especially preferred. Certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid are mandatory. Proficiency with technology and software such as Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing is expected. Strong management skills in restaurant, bar, banquet, catering, room service, and kitchen operations are essential, alongside abilities in budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and financial analysis. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, especially under pressure, are necessary to thrive in this role.
Joining the Brandywine Radnor Hotel offers you the opportunity to contribute to an established and respected hospitality institution while advancing your career in food and beverage management. After an initial waiting period, full-time employees become eligible for a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income benefits, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. We also offer the unique benefit of daily pay, supporting our team members’ financial needs. We value dedication, collaboration, and passion for quality service and look forward to welcoming a Food & Beverage Director who shares our vision and commitment to excellence.
