Job Description

The Boathouse is a distinguished dining establishment and a proud member of the Bean Restaurant Group family of restaurants. The parent company operates 15 full-service restaurants with a dedicated workforce of over 400 employees. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our team for the summer season. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality and delivering great food done right. As a Server at The Boathouse, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests receive the highest level of service and have an exceptional dining experience. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and customer-driven environment, you will be responsible for greeting guests, presenting menus, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to the needs of customers throughout their meal. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic workplace, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and cultivate a hospitable, positive atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greets customers as they are seated
  • ensures the table is clean and utensils and napkins are provided
  • presents menu to guests and answers questions about menu items and restaurant services
  • informs guests of menu changes and daily specials and makes genuine recommendations
  • takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen
  • delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
  • ensures food is prepared correctly and meets customers satisfaction
  • collects plates and clears tables
  • prepares checks and collects payments
  • assists with restaurant tasks such as cleaning dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
  • coordinates with and assists fellow employees to support restaurant operation
